SBS Christmas Surprise Draw

We were excited to be gifted a beautiful, complete set of Cookware by New World Warkworth recently. And while we could be sensible, and use it for a fundraiser or similar, we thought we’d have a bit of fun, and do a surprise draw at Prizegiving this year. Everyone from SBS, kids and staff, will have their names in the draw – good luck!! (Miss Ramel is really hoping for the win!)

Christmas Card Designers

Our neighbours at McConnell Dowell asked us for some student designers for their annual Christmas card, to be used for all their employees, all over NZ. Congratulations to AJ & Sofia for their “runner up designs” & Xanthe for the winning one. (You can see her card in Celeste’s hand). Celeste from McConnell Dowell brought them over some cool surprises today.

Travelwise Award Day

Here are some happy shots of our Year 5 and 6 Travelwise monitors enjoying the annual reward day put on by Auckland Transport at Rainbows End. And all their hard work (and that of Miss Jolliffe) paid off when we were once again awarded the Gold Award for the efforts of our whole school to be Travelwise. All those Walking Wednesdays paid off!

Charlie and his 2km fun run

Snells Beach School Year 4 student Charlie organised a 2km fun run to raise awareness of ADHD. Charlie raised a huge $1435 towards ADHD NZ and we had a wonderful crew of runners to support him, well done to all runners! Ka pai Charlie!

Calling all Crafters!

Calling all crafters! We are looking for people keen to have a craft stall at our Christmas Carols this year. Featuring our Junior and Senior School Kapa Haka Roopu’s, and our School Choir, supported by a live band of local superstars. Keen for a stall? Email admin@snellsbeach.school.nz with your name, contact details and brief description of your stall, or drop into our office.
