Enrolment Information (including Out of Zone enrolment)

Snells Beach School has an identified enrolment zone, which includes the entire Mahurangi East Peninsular past the Sharps Rd/Sandspit Rd intersection including Sandspit.

The zone is:

Starting at the intersections of Sandspit Road and Mahurangi East Road, travel east along Sandspit Road including all side roads. Follow the coastline around the Mahurangi Peninsula to Grange Street. Travel north west along Grange Street before turning north onto Lawrie Road and back onto Mahurangi East Road to the starting point. Our zone includes Kawau Island.

All children living in this zone have a right to attend our school. Please phone or visit our office to advise of your intention to enrol at our school and collect an enrolment pack. Our office hours are 8am – 3:30pm from Monday to Friday.

For those students living outside of our zone, the Board of Trustees has determined that limited places may be available for out of zone students for 2027 (starting from Term 1) for Year 1, 2 and 3 only. The exact number of places per year level will depend on the number of applications received from students who live within the school’s home zone.

For students seeking enrolment in these terms the following dates apply:

Application closing date – Wednesday 14 October 2026

Ballot date – Wednesday 21 October 2026.
