The end of Term 3 already!! It’s hard to believe just how quickly the weeks have flown by! The end of a term is always a good opportunity to look back on so many wonderful moments, successes, challenges overcome, and memories made across our school. While we don’t always achieve everything we hope for, it is important that we take the time to recognise just how much we have accomplished and celebrate the progress we have made.

For us as NZ Warriors supporters, we have certainly had plenty to cheer about this season! While the season didn’t quite finish the way we had hoped, let’s not dwell too much on the disappointment of the ending. Instead, let’s remember the great moments, the effort, the achievements, and the excitement along the way. There will be another season, another opportunity, and plenty more to look forward to. Sometimes it’s not about how things finish, but about appreciating the journey and everything that came along with it. The same applies to education. Disappointments and mistakes are all part of the journey. We’re learning!

As we head into the holidays, we hope everyone takes the opportunity to slow down, recharge and enjoy some quality whānau time. Whether you’re heading away, staying close to home, or simply enjoying a quieter pace, we wish all our students, staff and families a safe, happy and relaxing holiday period.

When we return, we will be heading into our final term, and there is plenty to be excited about. We have lots of great things planned, plenty of learning and opportunities ahead, and we will also have Miss Ramel back with us (cleaning up our mess), which will be wonderful. There is certainly a lot to look forward to as we finish the year together.

Next Year’s our Year — but let’s make the most of the rest of this one first!

NZ Bird of the Year Art Competition Winner

Message from the Forest Bridge Trust: I’m delighted to let you know that Jake M from Kauri 2 has won the 5–8-year-old age group in our NZ Bird of the Year Matuku hūrepo (Australasian bittern) Art Competition! We received some fantastic entries from the students, so it was a tough decision choosing our winners. Jake’s artwork really stood out, and we’re thrilled to recognise him as our winner. Ka pai Jake!

Pūriri 1 trip to Taiwan

Pūriri 1 has been travelling around the world in their classroom plane, with their most recent destination being Taiwan – the birthplace of Bubble Tea! The students designed their own bubble tea labels as well as creating their own recipes. The outcome was professional looking Bubble Tea, a variety of different flavours, some questionable cooking skills from Mr Sutherland, and a whole lot of fun.

Important Notice to all Parents and Whānau – student with extreme allergies

This is an important reminder for all families at our school, and in particular for those new to our school. In our Junior School we have a student with a severe egg allergy. This student is allergic to eggs through ingestion, inhalation, and touch.

Please ensure that:
No whole egg products are included in lunch boxes. This includes items such as hard-boiled eggs, egg sandwiches, bacon and egg pie, or eggs in rolls.
Egg used in baked goods, such as cakes or muffins, is still fine.

Thank you very much for your understanding and support in helping us keep all of our students safe.

Lunch ordering at Snells Beach School

Here at Snells Beach School we have lunch-ordering through Ezlunch available every day. Follow the link below to sign up for ezlunch and check out the menu. Sushi is available and needs to be ordered the night before whilst sandwiches/baking/other lunchbox items from New World can be ordered up to 8am of the same day. Please note, the lunch order is delivered right before our 1pm lunchtime so students still need to bring morning tea with them. Please contact the school office if you have any questions.
