Barfoot

Tena Kotouatoa, Talofa, Greetings to our school families

Welcome back everyone!  It is has been so great to see you all this week after the holidays and although we are still not free of the flu, with quite a few having been sick over the break and still away, the fine days this week have helped us feel as if things are getting better.

This week, Mrs Freckleton finishes with us full time, after looking after Totara 2 while Mrs Gore has been away.  Thank you Mrs Freckleton for everything you have done!  Eleven students moved from Kauri 1 to Kauri 2 to start this term and they have settled in really well.  Thank you Kauri 2 students and Miss Jolliffe for welcoming them so nicely!

The Board of Trustees very sadly received the resignation of Mrs Joss Shurey on Wednesday evening.  The Shurey family are relocating to the United Kingdom and we will be very sad to see them go. Joss has served the parent community and the school exceptionally well during her time on the Board and will be sorely missed.  We wish her and the family all the very best for their future adventures. The process for replacing Mrs Shurey is outlined below, as the Board has resolved to fill the causal vacancy by selection.  There is a clear process to follow for this which will get underway immediately.

We look forward to a productive and busy term ahead.  The complete term diary is set out below for you to note those events that you and your children will be a part of and we hope to see you at some of these.

Regards

Jill Corkin

Principal
