It’s that time of year again! Time for the senior school to start gearing up towards camp and we have lots of great fundraising ideas to help cut down the costs.
All Year 5 & 6 students have started planning for the Mini Gala that will take place during our lunchtime on Thursday 8 May (ie Week 1 of Term 2).
This fundraising event is a good learning opportunity for the children as they are required to organise a stall, market their products and keep a record of their earnings. All the money collected will go towards the Year 6 Camp. This year, we will also hold a sausage sizzle during this lunchtime gala.
Second Hand Gear
A great seller at our Mini Galas is our second hand stall items. So please start sending along any old items to donate to Nikau block eg books, soft toys and anything else you think might go down a treat.
Once again we will be selling raffle tickets to win a family brunch to the value of $100, kindly donated by Matakana Market Kitchen.
This year we will also run a raffle to win 5 midweek (off peak) nights for 2 adults and 2 children at Whangateau Holiday Park. (Expiry date 26 October 2014) This is a fantastic prize!
Tickets for these two fabulous raffles will be sold by our Year 6 students outside of school hours and we will also start selling them before and after school, outside the school library, starting tomorrow WEDNESDAY 9 APRIL.
Both raffles will be drawn at our Whole School Assembly on Friday 30 May 2014.
