We will perform in our school Kapa Haka kakahu. Please come in mufti and find your named bag in the hall. Boys will be in the front half of the hall, girls in the back. (Afterwards, please make sure that your kakahu goes back into this bag so you can find it at Prizegiving the following week.) Everyone, especially the boys, will need dark navy/black underwear. The boys may want to wear some black skins/tights/shorts also. (Handy hint – the sister’s short dance tights are perfect!). Please make sure if there are logos on these (TDA, Skins etc) that they are worn inside out. Students are welcome to wear any pounamu, greenstone, bone carvings that they have also.

Year 0 – 2 Kapa Haka: Meet in the Library at 6:00pm

Our littlest Kapa Haka performers will perform in mufti clothes. Please meet Whaea Tanz in the Library at 6pm.

Year 3 – 6 Carols Choir: Meet in the hall (enter by the side door) no later than 6:15pm.

Please enter the hall by the side door in the garden, and be quiet so you don’t interrupt the Junior Kapa Haka performance. Please wear any of the following:

– Christmas themed shirts/clothes if you have them

– Plain green, red or white t-shirts (wear them inside out so we just see the colour). Wear whatever you want on the bottom half.

– Tinsel, decorations and your own Christmas hats if you have them

– Don’t wear “santa hats” – they get too hot in the sun!

-Bring a drink bottle!

Come down early and grab something for dinner and check out the stalls!

Students will be back to catch our usual afternoon buses. If you prefer that your child does not travel by bus, you may take your child directly to Martins Bay – please just let their teacher know, so we are not waiting for them.
