In March 2007, the Minister of Education appointed the Establishment Board of Trustees for Snells Beach School and the process of establishing the school began.

Our new school opened on 5 February 2009 with 10 classrooms and a state of the art library, hall and administration built for the anticipated final size of the school which will be 20 classrooms.

The school design by Architects Brewer Davidson was built by Project Managers Naylor Love and their subcontractors to qualify with a Green Star rating for environmentally sensitive buildings. The design has resulted in a school that blends with the local environment, has excellent passive solar heating features, good indoor/outdoor flow and ventilation and allows for flexibility of teaching spaces. The school is well resourced with computers and other technologies and offers the full curriculum for students from Years 1-6 (age 5-10).
