Enrolment Scheme Snells Beach School, as a new school, is required by the Ministry of Education to have an enrolment scheme in place and an identified enrolment zone. Following public consultation in April 2008, our original proposed zone has been amended to include Sandspit. The zone is:
Starting at the intersections of Sandspit Road and Mahurangi East Road, travel east along Sandspit Road including all side roads. Follow the coastline around the Mahurangi Peninsula to Grange Street. Travel north west along Grange Street before turning north onto Lawrie Road and back onto Mahurangi East Road to the starting point.
Click here for zone map. All children living in this zone will have a right to attend our school. If children are already attending another school, then parents have the choice as to which school they attend - they may remain at their current school, or move to Snells Beach School. The transport (bus) entitlement zone is the same as the enrolment zone. Year 5 & 6 (2008) children will have their transport entitlement to Warkworth and Matakana schools protected until they finish at those schools, should they choose to remain there.
