Snells Beach School's motto is:

"Learning for Life"

Our Vision Statement is:

Snells Beach School will prepare children for successful futures and life-long learning through dynamic teaching and quality learning opportunities.



Both our motto and vision statement were established from a Statement of Intent issued by our Establishment Board of Trustees:

Snells Beach School will be a safe, harmonious, child centered environment that people enjoy and are proud of. 


Our Maori elders associated with Ngati Manuhiri and Ngati Wai gave our school a special name on the day of our dawn blessing. 

It is "Manu Ngahere" or "Birds of the Forest." 

This name was given in recognition of the way we have themed our school and named the individual classroom blocks.
